Welcome to our future Year 7 students

Places for our new Year 7 cohort, joining us in September 2021, have been allocated by Hertfordshire County Council.  We are delighted to have made an increasing number of offers to students compared to previous academic years.

We look forward to working in partnership with parents and will do all we can to develop the strongest possible relationship with you to enable this to happen.

You will no doubt have queries between now and September and we are here to help.  Our staff are here to assist you in whatever way they can.  We hope to have a New Parents’ Evening and an Induction Day in school for your child in the Summer Term, rather than having to run these events virtually.  Further information will be sent to you, including the confirmation of these dates in due course.

It is an exciting time to join Haileybury Turnford:

  • We have a new building with 12 classrooms, 3 science laboratories, and a large library which will open in September 2021 when your child joins the school
  • Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, our school community has remained connected, and our students have completed excellent work remotely, supported by staff and new digital devices provided by the school
  • Exam results continue to rise: prior to the pandemic, our Year 11 maths results in 2019 were the 12th best for progress from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4 in Hertfordshire
  • The progress made by our sixth formers in their A Levels in 2019 placed us 16th out of all academies and maintained schools in Hertfordshire

We look forward to welcoming our new students to our Haileybury Turnford community, and working closely with families to support the transition to us in the coming months.
