BASET

The Britain-Australia Society Education Trust (BASET) is a UK registered charity run by a voluntary board of trustees with administrative support from the Britain-Australia Society.
BASET provides financial support for young people in both the United Kingdom and Australia to enable them to gain experience and learn skills and, in doing so, to strengthen the links and enrich the relationship between our two countries.
Britain and Australia share a heritage and an exciting future. BASET helps deserving young people from both countries to build and benefit from that future. BASET provides financial support where it can “make the difference” for reciprocal schemes including offering secondary school students the opportunity to gain experience through school exchanges (Pioneer Awards).
We have now had three Pioneer Award winners, and the opportunity to visit Australia we hope will continue for HT sixth formers.
