The excellent work of the Arts at Haileybury Turnford has been recently recognised by Arts Council England and the Hertfordshire Music Service. The Creative & Performing Arts are such an important part of the curriculum, and school life for us.
Artsmark Gold is awarded by Arts Council England to schools for their exceptional commitment to creativity, and for arts and culture provision. We have been working towards this accreditation over the past 2 years, and we are delighted to have gained this recognition for the school’s work.
In addition, we have been selected as a Lead School for Music by Hertfordshire Music Service, due to our profound commitment to fostering musical excellent and innovation at Haileybury Turnford and across the wider community. This has been seen recently by the opportunity for our students to sing at the Royal Albert Hall in the Hertfordshire Schools’ Gala, at our wonderful Music Concert, and through the teaching that our Music Department does in a number of our partner primary schools. We continue to see an increasing number of students learning to play a musical instrument, or having singing lessons, and we hope this will continue to go from strength to strength!
