Wonderful success for Haileybury Turnford Year 11 students with the best exam results in the school’s history
Students are celebrating today at Haileybury Turnford in Cheshunt as GCSE and other vocational qualification results are published with the best exam results in the school’s history.
Principal, Robin Newman, said, “Our students should be delighted with their results today. They have been an excellent year group and worked so hard during the past 2 years, showing great determination and resilience throughout this period. I would also like to thank our staff for their dedication and commitment to enable our students to achieve their excellent exam results across all subjects. We wish all of our Year 11 students the very
best as they continue their studies at sixth form or college, or begin an apprenticeship or work.”
The Year Achievement Coordinator for Year 11, Ella Kaposi, said, “Our students’ hard work and commitment has truly paid off. These GCSE results reflect their determination and the support of our school community. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements and wish them every success for the future.”
Amongst the highest achievers were Amelie Marendaz, Emma Cooper, Megan Cantwell, Armands Sauka, Remy Matthews, Emmanuel Pius, Billy Fairclough, Huseyin Tosun, Madalina Zavadovschi, Andrew Cartwright, Bright Siaw, Mason Hodgson and Emily Pym, all receiving a very high number of top grades.
Amelie, who achieved 9 grade 9s and 1 grade 8 was thrilled with her results: “I am looking forward to starting Year 12 to study A Levels at Haileybury Turnford Sixth Form in September.”
Excellent successes for Haileybury Turnford Year 13 students
Haileybury Turnford is delighted to report very many outstanding achievements by its students in their A Levels and vocational qualifications today.
Robin Newman, Principal, said: “We are very proud of all the work and achievements of our sixth form students. This group of students were unable to sit GCSE examinations in 2021 and so this summer’s exams were the first external assessments taken by them. They have achieved very well, and we are very proud of the wonderful range of destinations secured.”
Jamie Ward achieved A* A* A* A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and will study Physics with Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London. Saphire Brown achieved A* A* A in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and will study Biological Sciences at the University of Warwick. Stephanie Pearce achieved A* A A in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and will read Biology at St Catherine’s College at the University of Oxford. Head Student, Jamie Curry achieved A A B in Economics, History and Mathematics and will study Global Sport Management at the University of Portsmouth. Koray Hassan achieved Distinction, Distinction, C in Business, IT and Product Design and will study Games, Design & Animation at the University of West London.
Navpreet Shivalkar, Head of Sixth Form, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that so many of our students have managed to secure the university or apprenticeship of their choice by obtaining such excellent A Level and vocational qualification results.”
