Strong success for Haileybury Turnford Year 11 students today

Students are celebrating today at Haileybury Turnford in Cheshunt as GCSE and other vocational qualification results are published.

Principal, Robin Newman, said, “Our students have been rewarded for their hard work and should be very pleased with their results today. Staff have really enjoyed working with this year group who have shown real determination and commitment to their studies. I would like to thank our staff for their commitment to enable our students to achieve their excellent exam results today. We wish all of our Year 11 students the very best as they continue their studies at sixth form or college, or begin an apprenticeship or work.”

Year Achievement Coordinator for Year 11, Vanessa Carter, said, “Our students’ hard work has truly paid off across the range of subjects they have studied. These results reflect their determination and the support of our school community. We are very proud of their achievements and wish them every success for the future.”

Amongst the highest achievers were, Adam Beat, Marisa Cabaco, James Hajdu, Princess Mejares, Kaitlyn Mungaroo, Jake Rixon, Connie Sorce and Olivia Sorce, all receiving a very high number of top grades. Gaetano Ciucea achieved a grade 9 in both maths and further maths. Robin Newman added “there are so many other students with results that have set them up very well for their step beyond Year 11, and we celebrate with them all. Very well done to the Class of 2024!”

James Hajdu, who achieved 5 grade 9s, 2 Distinction Level 2s, 1 grade 8 and 1 grade 7 was thrilled with his results: “I am very pleased with my results and I am delighted to be staying at HT Sixth Form in September with my fantastic teachers and friends.”

 

An amazing set of destinations for Haileybury Turnford Year 13 students today

Haileybury Turnford is delighted to report very many excellent achievements by its students in their A Levels and vocational qualifications today, which were the school’s best results since the pandemic.

Robin Newman, Principal, said: “We are extremely proud of all the work and achievements of our sixth form students. This group of students have been very committed to their studies over the past two years and they have achieved very well, and we are very proud of the wonderful range of destinations secured.”

Adam Fletcher achieved A* A* A in Mathematics, Accounting and Economics and has secured a degree apprenticeship in auditing at Evelyn Partners. Nazir Charalambous achieved A* A B in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics and will study Physics at King’s College London. Caitlyn Murphy achieved A* Distinction, Distinction in Photography, Media and Health & Social Care and has secured a role in childcare with Broxbourne Council Kidz Club. Tienna Goldhill achieved Distinction* A B in Business, Art and Geography and will study Illustration and Visual Media at the University of Arts London. Dylan Aziz achieved A A B in Biology, History and Chemistry and will study Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Hertfordshire. Mitchell Hartridge achieved A A B in Accounting, Economics and Engineering and in the process of securing an accounting apprenticeship. Head Student, Ruby Gunes, will be studying Medicine at the University of Nottingham.

Navpreet Shivalkar, Head of Sixth Form, said: “I am delighted with our sixth formers’ results today and they have secured the university or apprenticeship of their choice as a result of their dedication and commitment to their studies.”
