Apprenticeship Opportunities at HT
Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
The Teaching Assistant encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing student learning and fostering inclusivity within the classroom. Apprentices actively contribute to student advancement by providing support across various classroom settings, tailored to individual needs. They offer targeted assistance to SEND students, both in class and through 1:1 sessions, ensuring equal access to learning opportunities. Collaborating closely with the SEND department and teaching staff, apprentices promote the inclusion of all students and document any significant issues to maintain comprehensive student records. Additionally, they assist students with physical needs, coordinate lunchtime clubs for vulnerable students, and support with exam preparation and transition processes. Apprentices engage in school events and maintain accurate records of support provided, offering valuable feedback to the Flex/SEND Coordinator to optimize student progress. Flexibility and adaptability are key as apprentices may undertake additional duties as directed by the Principal. Through this apprenticeship, individuals gain practical experience in supporting student development and fostering an inclusive learning environment within a primary school setting.
