Roxy Eloise, a local author from Hertfordshire, returned to HT, where she attended as a student, to celebrate the launch of her second book, The Guidal: Unearthing Secrets on Monday 24th April.
Roxy Eloise’s first book was picked up by a traditional publisher after winning a competition on Twitter called PitMad, where her tweet stood out among hundreds of thousands of entries. The success of her debut novel has led to the publication of her second book, which is already generating buzz in the literary world.
The celebration at Haileybury Turnford will include a performance, quiz, reading, and book signing with year 7 students. Roxy Eloise is excited to share her love of writing and reading with the next generation of aspiring writers and hopes to inspire them to pursue their own creative passions.
When asked about her experience returning to her old school, Roxy Eloise says, “It’s surreal to be back where it all started. This is where my love of writing first took root, and I’m thrilled to be able to share my journey with the students here. I hope to show them that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.”
