Haileybury Turnford students achieved their highest ever GCSE and vocational results for a third successive year, following last week’s record breaking A Level and Level 3 vocational results.
Students are celebrating today at Haileybury Turnford in Cheshunt as GCSE and other vocational qualification results are published.
Principal, Robin Newman, said, “We are delighted for our students who have been rewarded for their hard work and should be very pleased with their results today. The Class of 2026 has achieved the school’s highest ever GCSE and vocational results in the school’s history as well as success across the whole range of subjects. It was lovely that many staff were able to celebrate with students in school this morning and we wish our students well as they continue their studies at sixth form or college, or begin an apprenticeship or work.”
Year Achievement Coordinator for Year 11, Sez Aydin, said, “We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our Year 11 students, who have broken new records for attainment across multiple subjects. GCSE Maths results reached a new high, with the school achieving its highest ever results and placing the school within the top 25% of all school’s Nationally. These results are a testament to their hard work, resilience and determination, and it has been fantastic to see them celebrating their successes today. The Class of 2026 should be immensely proud of all they have achieved.”
Amongst the highest achievers were Miran Beter, Stanley Mckellan, Rosa Pinto, Eli Carey, Angelica Biniecka, Carla Salamone, Narin Yildirim and Adam Durmus all receiving a very high number of top grades.
Haileybury Turnford is also very proud to congratulate Angelica Biniecka, who has been recognised by Cambridge OCR as one of the highest-performing students nationally in Cambridge National Child Development. This outstanding achievement places Angelica among the top students in the country and reflects her dedication and hard work.
Robin Newman added “Alongside these outstanding achievements, many other students have secured results that will help them thrive in their chosen pathways beyond Year 11, and we are proud to celebrate all of their successes. We look forward to continuing to support many of our students in our sixth form next year and to hearing about the exciting journeys of those progressing to college, apprenticeships and the workplace.”
