Haileybury Turnford Sixth Form Open Evening took place on Thursday 16th November. If you were unable to attend, please find below a copy of the presentation where students were provided with further details on the opportunities Haileybury Turnford Sixth Form has to offer, as well as the application process.

Haileybury Turnford again had excellent exam results

In 2023

  • All students who applied to university have accepted their places as a result of their exam success
  • All of our Year 13 students were successful in reaching the destination of their choice
  • University destinations included the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, the University of Warwick and the University of Portsmouth

In 2022

  • All students who applied to university have accepted their places as a result of their good exam results
  • All of our Year 13 students were successful in reaching the destination of their choice. This included a variety of apprenticeships as well as places at some of the most selective universities

In 2021

  • Exams were replaced with teacher assessed grades in 2021 and continued to show further increases in outcomes for students
  • 83% A*-C grades at A Level
  • There was a significant increase in the number of students successfully applying to, and being accepted on, university courses including at highly competitive universities
  • Students successfully applied for a wide range of full-time employment and apprenticeship roles

In 2020

  • Exams were replaced with centre-assessed grades in 2020 and continued to show an upward trajectory in outcomes for sixth form students

In 2019

  • 45% A*-B grades at A Level
  • 43% of Distinction* or Distinctions in vocational courses
  • 100% success in all vocational courses
  • Increase in students successfully applying to university courses, including Russell Group and Oxbridge
  • One student studying English at the University of Cambridge and one student studying Physics at the University of Oxford

In 2018

  • Nearly 10% increase in A*-B grades at A Level compared to 2017
  • Our first student gained a place at the University of Cambridge with A* A* A

In 2017

  • 100% Distinction and Merits in vocational courses
  • 65% of students chose university or apprenticeships
