Sixth Form students visit Uganda

During the October half-term, three Year 13 students and Mr Lindquist, visited Uganda for 11 days supported by Haileybury Youth Trust (HYT).

They visited a number of schools, including schools in the Bidi-Bidi settlement/refugee area, which is the second largest refugee area in the world. At one of the schools, Rocklands Primary School, the students were given the opportunity to paint the school logo on a water tank. This water tank was built as a result of the Sixth Form fundraising effort over the past year, which was donated to HYT who do tremendous work across Uganda supporting education and training.

The students experience on this visit will stay with them for a lifetime and they look forward to presenting their experiences in Sixth Form assembly on Thursday 30th November. More information and pictures of the visit and HYT can be found here
